2022 had been a verrrrry interesting year to be a submas fan, hasn’t it?
A couple of updates
Hi there
Firstly, I would like to take a moment to explain the lack of art over the past 4 months. Normally I don’t apologise for not posting art because everything I do is 100% for my enjoyment, but for what my schedule irl is about to become I thought I owe a short explanation.
Simply put: my job has been occupying more of my time. Since the beginning of this year, I’ve been given more hours at work; previously I’ve been working an average of 5 days a week, and starting next week it’s about to become 6 (not my choice). I work a fast-paced and highly social job that by the end of every shift I’m too exhausted to do anything else.
This doesn’t mean that I won’t be posting art anymore, there are some things that I am currently working on that I’m hoping to get out soon, they will just be coming out at a slower pace than I would like due to having far less free time on my hands now.
The second update is about my NSR PMD AU. For now, the AU is on hiatus, not only for reasons previously described but also because submas have now (re)occupied the brain. I still love NSR very much, but alas

It sure has been a while since I’ve done one of these. I thought I’d do one quick before 2021 ends
So, I say this year had actually been a pretty good year of art for me. I’m pretty proud of myself for posting at least one piece of art a month, which is something that I haven’t done in a long time. I used to try doing so in the past so I could do art summaries every year but it only made art feel like a chore and not fun (plus I had college and uni to worry about at the time), so I stopped caring about them and allowed myself to draw whenever I felt like it. It feels good to post monthly again without even trying (thank you NSR for carrying me this year and through half of 2020, but specifically thanks to 1010, this train ain’t stopping lmao)
On top of that, there was also me finally starting up my own commissions, as well as the opportunity to have my own artwork featured in NSR: Encore Edition, which is a massive honour and I still cannot believe this is something that had happened thank you so much metronomik 🙇♀️
I can’t promise that I’ll make a 2022 art summary, I’d still rather not force myself to make art for the sake of doing them. But this year had been fun and I really hope this spark of motivation doesn’t die out any time soon. Either way, I would like to keep doing things at my own pace and enjoy myself while doing so.
